ANOTHER BRITISH VICTIM.
LONDON, November f5. The Houlder steamer La Correntina has not been heard of for a month. It is thought that *x>ssibly she has fallen a victim to tho Dresden, which was off South America. The vessel carried two 4.7 guns. The La Correntina was a largo steel twin-screw steamer of 8-529 tons gross. and oIS3 tons net register, built in 1912. at West Hartlepool, and owned by Messrs Houlder Bros, and Co., Ltd., of Liverpool. La Correntina, which was in the frozen meat trade between the River Plato and Liverpool, was commanded by Captain A. Murrison, well-known in New Zealand, formerly in command of tho Drayton Grange.
