Ruesia, a number <yf switches connecting it with the main lino. Here, in railway cars, living quietly and peacefully, are a group of a hundred men composing the General Staff. A few panting automobiles dash here and there, and there are two thousand Cossacks beyond. Many hundred miles from this scone of tranquillity extends, the enormous chain of the Russian front, every point of which is connected ly telegraph with these cars. Here, free from the hurly-burly, the brains of the army are able to command the perspective of the whole theatre of war.
