NOTES AND MEMORANDA.
The Canterbury A. and P. Association's Metropolitan Show will bo held on "Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday next. Tho Banks Peninsula Show will take place at Little River on November 24th. A meeting of Shorthorn breeders will be held at the A. and P. rooms on Wednesday. November llth, at 8 p.m. The Canterbury Fruitgrowers' Association will meet at the Druids' Hall on Saturday night. The Chris tchnrch District Grand Lodge of Orangemen will hold a parado on Sunday and will attend service at the Durham street Church at 3 p.m.
A patriotic swimming carnival will be held at tho Tepid Baths on Show night. v .
