BELGIUM FUND.
The objects of the Poor of Great 3ritain, Ireland, and Belgium Relief Fund are to provide by voluntary contributions a shipload of meat, produce, clothing, etc., for thos2 in distress in Great Britain, Ireland, and Belgium as the result of tho war. Mr F. 11. Pyno (Pyne and Co.) is the hon. treasurer, and Mr C. M. Parker (Art Galley) joint secretary to the fund with Mr 11. It.- Seller*;, Sportd Protection League. Subscriptions may bo forwarded to these gentlemen, ar.d uiso to tho ottice of "Ihe Press.'
Wo havo authority for statin--, that his Excellency the Governor di-sires that it ehould I>6 clearly understood that the proportion oi all the contributions will bo duly distributed in accordance with the wishes of tho respective committees. The Canterbury Committee, it will be ■ remembered, resolved that one-fourth cf tho Britain and Belgium Fund should be given *•*> Belgian sufferers by the war. in addition to any sums specially car-marked for Belgium by tho donors.
