GARAGE BURNT.
SIXTEEN CARS DESTROYED. (PEESi ASSOCIATION TIXECBAM.) NAPIER, October 2d. A disastrous firo occurred early this afternoon in Lowe and Keieing's motor garage, by which damage to the extent 'of close on £10,000 was done. Tho j building was mainly of concrete, and j tho walls were undamaged. Four or ; iivu ears wero removed before the firo i reached them, but sixteen-others wero j damaged, some absolutely beyond, re--1 pair. " Several of the cars were not insured, and those damaged included some vei-y valuable ones. Tne building j was insured for £16-50, andl the stock-in-trade and-ulant for iICOO, both m I tho Ocean office. rhe loss ou tho I latter risk will be considerable.
