The market has been well supplied during the Aveek with local N fruit and vegetables, and prices have\ruled in the wholesale markets as follows:—
Apples, dessert 2d t0.2.d. cooking l}d to 2Jd; tomatoes. 6d to 7d per !b; oranges, 8s; pears, 5s to 7s; bananas, 7<- to 8s; poormari oranges, 12s 6d; South Australian lemons, 14s; " pineapples, 14s to 16s per case. Potatoes, 5s to 6s 6d per sack; cabbages, Is 6d to 3s 3d; cauliflowers, 3s to Bs*. carrots, 7d; turnips, 7d; parsnips, 7d per dozen; onions, strings 6s to 7s per cwt.
