Tea. —India-,: A very small sale, including two • invoices of new season's teas, which fetched long prices. Other invoices were of little interest. Java: A fair-sized, sale, market was firmer. Ceylon;. A.good demand for 7 -!!'classes of tea with "the. exception of medium Brokeni'Pekoe, which are inclined to be irregular",. has only been a moderate supply, at public auction this week. Prices fully, steady, but quotably unchanged. Santos: Dearer for the week, although receipts still . continue very heavy. -.'.-.'.... '■-"• Sugar.—Shipments of Java and Taikoo sugar are now coming forward], and possibly 'this ia the reason. of the two reductions in price made by the Colonial Sugar Co. since th© beginning of tho month. Oil of Lemon. —To conform with the new; Government regulations lemon oil h_6 advanced about Is 9d per lb. . Apples — Orders for Tasmanian, evaporated and Aka apples-are now being executed. In tho last-mentioned line a firm has started locally, and with the dntyof in their .favour they will doubtless take a place in this market." ''Linseed Oil.—As'intimated in yester- • day moruMig*s newspapers, the price of this article has been reduced from last week's quotation for prompt, shipment. Forward shipment remains tho same. ; 'WThite Lead and Red Lead.—-There is no change • from last quotation, which advanced prices IDs per ton. Pig Iron.,—There has been a reduction of "2s per ton against last month's price.
