Messrs Johnston and Co. have decided te get a new steamer built for tho Wellington-Havclock-Sounds trade, in place of th( Manaroa, which was wrecked near »he French Pa&s over a year ago, and though salvaged, has ren _ ; ncd laid up in Wellington since. Tbe Huia bus been filling tho breach, in tbe meantime. The order fcr the new \-cß6ol will probably bo placed at Home.
