GLENTUNNEL.
The annual meeting of parishioners of St. Luke's, Glentunnel, was held on Thursday evening. There was a fair attendance, the Rev. Mr Blakiston presiding. The balanco-sbeet showed a credit balance of £'G 19s Id. Tho following officers were elected: —Bishop's warden, Mr J. O. Austin; parishioners' warden, Mr C. TV. Allard; vestry, Messrs J. Charles, E. Charles, J. P. Prestidge, A. P. Woodcock, and G. B. Starky. Tho Rev. Mr Blakiston gave a brief address, chiefly on the subject of church attendance. Mr E. Charles, superintendent of the Sunday school, reported that there was an average attendance of over 40 scholars, but that the work was handicapped owing to the. dearth of teachers, and he appealed to those present to try to help tho Sunday School. At the conclusion of the formal business, a social gathering was held. Musical items wore contributed by Mrs Charles, Messrs Charles, Willis, and Allard. The accompaniments wefte played by Mrs Allard. Refreshments, which were provided by tbo ladies, were then handed round, and the singing of the National Anthem brought a pleasant evening to a conclusion.
