At a meeting of tbe Ellesmcro Rngby SubUnion, held at Lccston, Dr. Withers (president) presiding, the secretary reported having written to the Leeston and Dwnsandel Clubs regarding applications mado for reinstatement, and stating that, with the exception of a verbal etatement from the secretary of the. TLoeeton Club, to tho effect that tbe players for whom his club has applied foreinstatement were not competent to play seniors, ho had not received any reply. T_e Union did not approve of the action of tho abovo clubs in not replying to th© request for reasons supporting their applications. It wa-B decided, howeveqr, that tie applications should be granted. The following is tho draw for the second round:—Seniors —Juno 13th: College v. Leeston, at- Leeston; Dnnsandel v.
