NOTES AND MEMORANDA.
The annual meeting of the Canterbury Fruitgrowers' Association will be hold in the Druids' Hall, Worcester street, at 8 o'clock on Saturday evening. A public meeting will be held in the Linwood Public Library on Friday, to appoint a committee to collect funds for the children's open-air homes. A meeting of ratepayers in the Selwyn County will be held on Monday, August 10th, to discuss a proposal to stop a road in tho district.
A meeting of those interested in the Bands' Competitions being held in Christchureh will take place at tho City Council Chambers at 8 p.m. to-morrow.
Miss C. W. Christie will hold a public "question meeting" in the Theosophical Society's'new hall at 8 o'clock this oven-
