The 1911 model of tho famous B.S.A. motor-cycle, fitted with tho gear, which, has attracted so much la*, oitrabie attention in Britain and Kuropo recently, has at last arrived in ' Chri-stohnrch. The new model, it will be remembered, created a big scusation in the hist Paris-Nice trials, when, ;h addition to repeating tbo B.S.A. success of the previous year, when the machine tui.s winner in the -ingle-cylinder section, the new model practically swept * the hoard of special prizes by reaso-i* of its phenomenal efficiency as a sidecar machine. The new B.S.A. is a charming machine to drive. The delicacy of control and the, wonderful flexibility of the engine are a surprise to all who experience them for th. , first time. Jt would take too long tc give a technical description of tho nianf improvements embodied in this model, but it may bo mentioned tbat ih« small pulley, working- on the threespeed gear countershaft, is of largo diameter—B, inches—so that the "-tram upon the belt is greatly lessened and itlife correspondingly lengthened. x\ shipment of six oi these machines has jnst arrived, and a very, much lar.er shipment is duo to arrivo shortly.
