FOOTBALL.
, _ i OLD BOYS' CLUB. The report of tho committee of the Christchurch High School Old Boys' Football Club to be submitted to the club's annual meeting on Thursday evening, states that the club is not in a very strong financial position, but this is due in a large measure to the fact that the club called upon the Old Boys' Association for necessaries only, and not for its actual dues. The club had much success in the competitions. The senior team easily accounted for the D.C.L. Shield, attaining championship honours for the first time in the club's history. The juniors were runners-up in their competition, and won the local seven aside. The committee expresses gratification at the consistent manner in which the teams trained, to which wafl no doubt due the success on the playing field. The committee congratulates Lieutenant Hoar, training instructor, on the excellent results obtained.
