GLENTUNNEL.

Last week the weather in the Glentunnel district was absolutely perfect. Every day there were blue skies, with warm sunshine. a.cd practically no wind. A change came on Saturday evening, when the wind, veered suddenly to the south-west, and the skysoon became overcast. The temperature dropped quickly, and showers came from the south-east. Towards evening tho rain became heavier, and continued heavily until Sunday night. Monday was showery, with a cold breeze from tho north-east. The rain will be welcomed by farmers, as it will soften tho ground for the autumn ploughing, and will also havo a good effect on the pastures.
