CHEVIOT.

Mr Bowman, the Government Apiary Inspector, who judged the honey exhibits at the recent show, gave a very interesting lecturo to tho local Beekeeoers' Association, on the evening of the* Show. Mr Bowman was greatly impressed by the number of exhibits, and said that nearly all were of such lino quality that it was extremely hard to arrive at a decision. Mr Bowman said that the local Beekeepers' Association should endeavour to get more classes for their products, and suggested classes for clear honey, graunlated honey, honey in honey in pats, etc.. thus stimulating nealthy competition among the members. Mr J. Rentoul promised a trophy for next Show. The district this season should produce, so far as can be ascertained, something like 18 tons of honey.
