WAIMATE.
All arrangements have been made for the issue of a monthly paper in connexion with St. Augustine's Church, Waimate. The vestry has approved a plan for the new vicarage to be erected on the section at the corner of John street and Victoria terrace. Tho plan requires to bo approved by the Synod. The Waimate District Honorary Territorials' Association is arranging military and athletic sports for the local companies of the senior cadets, to be held in Victoria Park on the 26th inst. The committee of the Waimate Public Library has decided to grant monthly tickets to the general public at Is per month, provided that a denosit of os be paid, this deposit to be refunded at the end of the month, when the last book issued has been returned.
