VIOLENT GALES.
• DAMAGE IN IRELAND. (By Cabla. —Press Association—Copyright.) LONDON, March 15. Violent gales are raging in the west and 60Uth of England, A hundred houses were unroofed at Queenstown. H.M.S. NEW ZEALAND, SUFFERS. (Received March 16th. 10.40 p.m.) LONDON, March 16. The battleship New Zealand, lying in Berehaven harbour, had her topmast, wireless gear, and gaffs carried away in a gale. She dragged her anchors for two miles, but was never in danger.
