MDLLE. DOLORES
The coming visit of Mdlle. Dolores is an event which arouses most pleasurable anticipation. ' Students of singing take a very keen interest in the appearance of a gifted artist like Mdlle. Dolores. There is much to learn hy attending at her recitals. The ease with which she accomplishes tho most rapid of florid passages and her admirable control of breathing and her perfect vocalisation are all valuable educative, points to those who aspire to tho concert platform. During tho coming visit Mdlle. Dolores will present a programme of great diversity, ranging from the favourite aria, "Ah 'fora c lni," from Verdi's opera "Traviata," to the simple folk songs of various nations. The Christchurch season opens at the Choral Hall next Thursday eveninjr. The plan will be opened at the Dresden on Tuesday next.
