"THE MIRACLE."
Next Monday night's presentation of animated pictures at His Majesty's Theatre will include Professor Max RheinhoWt's great wordless religious mystery play which has a length of (3000 feet, and it will be accompanied throughout by Humperdinck's specially composed music. A taste of the quality of this music was recently given here in a short selection by the Royal Artillery Band. 'The Miracle," it is claimed, marks an epoch in kinematograph pictures, on the ground that it is tho first lyriscope play to "he constructed and presented. A lyriscope play is described as one in which there is. a combination of kinematography. living actors, choirs, choristers, and special music, each chord of the latter synchronising with an action in the pictured story. "The Miracle" is not presented in the ordinary picture manner. The stage is 6et with a scene depicting the front of a large cathedral. A procession of monks and nuns pass along tho aisles singing as they go. A bell tolls aud then the story of the young sister Sacristan is thrown upon the screen. Box plans for the season are now available at the Dresden.
