During her stay in Akaroa Harbour, the annual sports oi the training chip Amokura were held on the Recreation Ground. Potato and Bucket race—Chapman 1, 3owater 2. lOOyda Shore Boys' race—J. Tini 1, B. Leets ••> Wheelbarrow race—Lyall and Chapman 1, Bowater and Davis 2: Obstacle race—Robertson 1, Chapman 2. Reeves 3. Tug-of-War, Ship ?. Shore—Amokura won two pulls out cf three. Relay race—Starboard Watch 1. Throwing Cricket Ball—Reeves (75yds) 1. Boot race—Robe-rt'on 1, Radshaw 2. At*auH-at-Arm*—Jackson and Robertssn 1. Consolation race—McFarlane- 1, Xewton 2, Hay ,3. After the sports the prize* were presented by Miss >L Westenra, and in the evening the boys were given a free pass to Hcywaxd'a Picture*.
