BEXAL PIG-IRON.

(press association telegram.) WELLINGTON, March 5. In the Supreme Court to-day, the Bengal Iron and Steel Company applied to Mr Justice Hosking for an order that tho word •'Bengal" be deemed a distinctive mark, and registrable in respect of pig-iron manufactured by applicants. It was contended on behalf of the Registrar of Trade Marks that if the application was granted, there was a danger that it might hamper other manufacturers in Bengal selling pig-iron in New Zealand. The Court reserved its decision.
