SOUTHBRIDGE. The Roy. 11. G. Hawkins (chairman), Messrs R. B. B. Willis, E. G. Hubbard, H. Sutton, E. A. lnwood, M. Cuxran, and R. Rowe wero present at the monthly meeting* of the Southbridge District High School Committee. It was decided to grant lhe children a half-holiday on the llth inst.. tho date of the Southbridge Swimming Club's annual carnival. The Board of Administration informed the committee that the sum of £26 had been received from tho Government as subsidy on an amount of £26 raised locally by a concert held last October to* provide a school library. The chairman and secretary were appointed a sub-committee to arrange as to the selection of hooks. The headmaster reported that the weekly roll in the primary department was 101. and the average da**ly attendance 14-1.6. and in tb<» secondary department the weekly roll wa« 32 and -ie averairf* daily attendance 27.8.
