Seren suffragettes concerned in the Campden Hill Square disturbance appeared in the West London Conri, charged with obstructing the police. Evidence was given that tno women carried wooden clubs, and complaint waa made by -them *of . being roughly handled.
The magistrate remarked that some wojnen bruised easily, even when grasped affectionately.
Princess" Duleep Singh, speaking in support of tho defendant, declared that tho police were oxciied. She herself 1 was knocked down, also three others who refused to give their names, , Several were fined. Suffragettes appearing at Bow Street as a result of a protest against no mention being made' of the suffragette cause in the King's Speech were ordered to keep the peace.
