(Before Messrs F. W. Anderson and W. C. Cleary, J.P.s) ALLEGED THEFT. Delia P. Booth was charged with having, on the 11th inst., on the ferry steamer Wahine, between Wellington and Lyttelton, stolen from Richard William Holly the sum of £'9. On the application of Acting-Detec-tivo Carney the caee was remanded to Tuesday, tho 17th inst. ■ A DANGEROUS PRACTICE. Bert Davis, who pleaded guilty to a charge of having, on the 2nd inst., at Lyttelton, quitted a train while it was in motion, was fined 5s and costs. DEFENCE CASES.
For failing to render personal service as required by the Defence Act, l>oric M. Stewart, Richard Coffer, and Alfred J. Spoar -were each fined £3 and costs, and Alfred L. Carroll, Ernest G. Pascoe, R. Page and Leo. J. Schuker 5s and cotits. Alex Graham and AY. B. Mather were convicted and discharged, nnd a similar charge against Edgar Barbour was withdrawn by the Department.
