AH these must b« fitted with wireless by July let next. The coastal vessels affected arc the Arahura, Tarawera. Mapourika, Hauroto, Monowai, Karawu, Mararoa. Takspuna, Te Anau, and Manaia. Altogether twenty-seven vessels come under the regulations, but eeronteun of these, inc'uding the intercolonial veeeeLi, are already fitted, l«»ving the above-named to be fitted within the next five monthe. Th-e repu'ations provide for inspection of •hipe' equipment and supply of power needed for transmission of signals when veeeels ar« under way. Breaches of rejrulatioiuj by owTvers or masters are punishabie by a fine of £50.
