A WEEK-END CAMP
The members of the No. 3 Field Am-bulance-went into camp at lledcliffs for the week-end on Saturday. Every man worked willingly and the details of the camp were performed in such a manner as to prove the thorough efficiency of the corps. Tho camp was visited on Sunday by twenty of the ex-members of the corps, who showed the keen interest they still have for the work by challenging the champion squad of New Zealand (who won at the recent Military , Tournament at Auckland) to a competition. The members of the corps gave an exhibition of their work, and were subjected to a keen criticism, much to their advantage. During, tea ex-Sergeant Smith spoke of the old times in the corps, and related tho hardships experienced during its formation. Also ho spoke of the great enthusiasm of the old members for the work which continues to the present day, and encouraged the present members to still remain the crack corps. Ex-Sergeant McKinney also spoke in similar terms. At six o'clock tho men marched into Sumner to attend church, where a special service was conducted by the Rev. Mr Graham. Camp was struck at fivo a.m. on Monday, and tho men left well pleased with the- camp and their outing. Sergt-Major Thomson attended the camp as instructor.
