A man arrested for drunkenness on the railway station, was fined 10s, in default forty-eight hours' imprisonment. . - ' MEDICAL OBSERVATION REQUIRED. Daisy Moir, a young girl, was charged with wilfully breaking a pane of glass" at the Female Refuge, Linwood. In tho dock, she turned her back on the Court, and burst into tears. Sub-Inspector McKinnon stated tho girl had been taken to the Homo by Miss Cardale, who had found her wandering about the streets, destitute. At the Home she had created a disturbance, and it took two attendants to hold her. Hβ suggested that tho accused should be examined as a mental defective. ' The case was withdrawn, and the accused will be examined as a. mental defective. - ■ CIVIL SITTINGS. Judgment by default, with costs, was entered in the following civil cases:—J. A. Jones v. E. J. A. B. Bailey, S.M.) CLAIM FOR BOARD. Janet Mathieson (Mr Weston) claimed from Hannah Mackenzie MacLeay (Mr A. W. Bishop) the sum of £5 10s, being money alleged to be owing for board from February Ist, 1912, to May. Bth, 1912, at 10s per week, less three weeks gratis. Evidence having boon taken, judgment was given for defendant, with costs. . ■ -1
