HUNDREDS OF PERSONS . INJURED. . (By Cable.—Press Association. —Copyright.) TKTBLIN, August 31. The riots lasted five hours. Four hundred injured wero taken to the hospital. The Strike Committee abandoned to-day's demonstration. Mr Larkin, one of the strike leaders, while attempting to address a crowd, was arrested, after the police had made a baton charge on the mob, leaving fifty unconscious in the street. .Thero were further- baton charges in various districts to-night, resulting in fifty arrests being made. The military are assisting the police.
