TEMUKA.

Tho South Canterbury Acclimatisation Society held its annual meeting in Timaru on Thursday afternoon. Mr J. S. Rutherford presided over about 85 members. The report and balancesheet were rend and adopted. The following members wore elected to tho Council of tho Society: —Mackenzie County—Messrs J. S. Rutherford and A. Hope (tho only nominations). Timaru—Messrs P. Foster, Jj. B. James, J. S. Lawrie, Ralph Porter, and T. Turnbull. Temuka—Messrs A. Bonn, P. V. Lysaght, A. C. p. Spencer, and D. Taylor.
