NORTHERN A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the Northern A. and P. Association was held yesterday at Rangiora. Mr A. S. Clarkson (president) was in the chair. Nineteen applications for membership were received, and two candidates wero bailotted for and elected. The chairman's action in granting the Show Ground for the entertainment of the detachment from H.M.S. New Zealand was approved. An interim balance-sheet of the Winter Show showed receipts £33 Os Gd, and expenditure £117 os Bd, leaving a debit balance of £34 os 7d, as compared with £5 los 5d last year. Tho Chairman explained that the weather this year militated against the attendance, and the accounts were agreed to. A question relating to trustees was referred to Messrs T. Hunter and J. L. Wilson to deal with. A vote of thanks was passed to the Winter Show judges. The President referred to the loyal manner in which ho had been supported, and said ho had received a requisition to consent to re-election, to which lie would givo an early reply. It was resolved that the annual election take place on May 30th, nominations to close on tho 20th, and that a re-union take place after tho annual meeting. *
