(Beforo Messrs W. A. Sherratt and J. Kennedy, J.Fs.) Civil Cases. —Judgment by default was given in T. Sherratt and son (Mr Inglis) v. A. C. Tunsley, claimr£l 8s sd: Sarah Mulhera (Mr Inglis) v. Atwill, claim £1 10s. Excessive Speed.—B. Hart was charged with driving a motor-car through the main street of the borough at a speed exceeding 10 miles an hour. Defendant did not appear and was lined 40s and costs 7s. , The Defence Act.—George Coombs, a Senior Cadet, was charged by the police with absenting himself from drill since the 6th of February. There was no appearance of defendant who was fined 10s and costs 7s.
