_ (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND, February 24. At Te Aroha a boy, named Oscar Bowen, was badly burned through" an explosion of benzine in the shop of Reg. Willis, electrician, to-day. His clothing was all afire when he rushed into the adjoining storo, where ihe flames we<-o promptly extinguished. Tho lad's injuries were mainly on the head, arms and legs. The body of Henry Biggs, a married man aged 46, was found beside tho rai.way trark nt New Lynn yesterday. It was clear of tho rails and had not been touched by the trains. The man had probably fallen off tho 11 o'clock train on Saturday night, and had been dead somo hours when picked up. - BALCLUTHA, February 24. George Kirk, an o.d age pensioner, aged 92. was burnt to doath at Puerua gome time between Thursday night and Sunday afternoon. He apparently lived alone. DUNEDIN. February 24. The polico at North East Valley received news this morning of a drowning fatality in a .small creek in that district. Phyilis Margaret Olive Boucher, ased one year and nine months, a dui-hW "of Mr and Mrs Ernest Boucher, was playing by herself in the yard at the rear of the house, and being missed after a while, her mother and „unt instituted a search and found the b"dv of the child in tho crock, a littlo distance from the house.
