Th© "Tagliche Rundschau" says that ih© increase in the numbers of th© Army' involves an expenditure of £3,750,000, not including tho appropriation for aviation.
• A cable message dated December 16th stated:—Tho ' "North German Gazette" foreshadows fresh Army expenditure, mainly in the development of tho air fleet, new cavalry divisions, increased-provision for horses, and a light Howitzer regiment for each division. The newspapers view with mixed sentiments the prospects of new taxation to meet the demands. Somo declare that friction exists between th© Secretary of the Treasury and tho Minister of- War.
