LONDON GAMING RAID.

HEAVY FINES IMPOSED

(By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright) LONDON, January 13. , Roy MacKay and William Prose, for keeping a gaming house in Belgrav© square, were fined £500 each, with £15 15s costs. A cable message on December 17th last stated that tho polico raided a mansion near Belgrave square, and arrested twenty . persons of good social position. It was stated that a prominent lady lost £28,000 at Baccarat. The house, which was raided by fifty detectives, was "one of the largest gambling houses ever raided, in the West End.. The stakes and counters ranged from £1 to: £100. Th© players were bound over in sureties of £60/ and th© principals were remanded on bail.
