PROMOTIONS AND CHANGES. (PRHBS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, December 23. Tlie following promotions and changes are notified by tho Postmaster-General: Mr F. V. Waters, chief clerk, General Post Office, and Mr G. B. Dall, inspector of Post Offices, to be assistant secretaries. Mr D. Miller, chief postmaster, Wellington, to be chief inspector of Poet Offices. Mr J. C. Williamson, second clerk, General Post Office, to bo chief clerk, General Post Office. In future the officers in charge of tho telegraph oiliees at tho four chief centres, find at Napier and Wanganui, will bo known as superintendents. Similarly the assistant officer in chargewill bo * assistant superintendent, and in the caso of the four chief centres there will be one second assistant superintendent. , Officers at present known as chier clerks will in future bo called supervisors and assistant supervisors, as the caso may be. In this connection Messrs J. Alexander, J. E. Green, J. A. Russell, and J W. Hall, senior check clerks at Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch, and Dimedin respectively, are promoted to the nosition of second ass'stant superintendent. Messrs W. C. \ates and A. Elliott, check clerks at Napier and Wanganui, respectively, are promoted to bo assistant superintendents. Messrs V. R. Anderson, H. I. Bennett. W. Forrest, F. Aston, F. Craig. W L. Esson, and J. Gillespie, check clerks, are promoted to he supervisors.
