ADVENTIST COLLEGE DESTROYED.

(press association telegram.) CAMBRIDGE, December 23. The Seventh Day Adventist Training College, containing over fifty rooms, and situated three miles from Cambridge, was totally destroyed by fire at 2 o'clock this morning, nothing bein.-; saved. Tho origin of the fire, is -i mystery. Tho insurances totalled £240!) on the buildings and £61-1 on tho furnituro in various offices. Tho property had lately been purchased by Nickle Bros., the Adventists occupying it till tho end of the year. Most of tho furniture had been removed to tho now college near Palmerston North last week. The students were nearly all away for their holidays.

Messrs Hunter and Phillips's general store, WaddiDgton, was completely destroyed by firo on Saturday night. Tho stock was insured for £2.50 in tho South British office. The insurance on the building, which was owned by Mrs Sheppheard, was not ascertninable.
