PROBABLE NATIONAL STRIKE

Mr Haveloek Wilson, in a circular, urges tho seamen of the United .Kingdom to hold themselves in readiness for a national strike. (Received December 19th, 10.30 p.m.) Mr Haveloek Wilson's circular.complains that the- Shipping Federation acted witho it consulting the seamen's Union whether the advances tho shipowners call substantial would bo acceptable to the mon. The latter "demand a conference with th'e owners to discuss the establishment •of a Wages Board.
BONUS TO LOYALISTS.
(Received December 20th, 12.10 a.m.) LONDON, December 19. Tho North-Eastern Company have granted bonuses of £100 to several loyalist firemen acting as drivers during the strike. STEVEDORES DECLINE TO "WORK. MEAT CARGO LEFT BEHIND. (Received December 19th, 9.5 p.m.) BRISBANE, December 19. , The steamer Indrapura, which has sailed for London, left behind a large portion of her refrigerated cargo. Tho wharf labourers worked for six hours and then left, stating that the air in tho hold was too cold. Her intended cargo comprised 3500 quarters of beef and 8000 carcases mutton, of which only 1500 quarters of beef were loaded.
