TAXATION OF FOOD

"Tho Times" states that the larger section of Unionists is averse to food taxes, preferring- a referendum, and a smaller section, estimated at 30 to 40 per cent., favouring a tariff, controls the party machine. I Lord Curzon, speaking at York, i said that tho supremo duty of the i Party was to sustain, tho attack on the Government rather than to publicly discuss what wheat and corn duty should be imposed at some futuro and unknown date.
FEELING IN CANADA
