United Press Association—By Eleetrio Telegraph—Copyright. , MELBOURNE, December 18. As tho result of the first year's examinations, five cadets at tho Military College at Duntroon have been notified not to resume work, as they aro unsuitable for a military vocation.
TWO NEW ZEALANDERS AMONG THE FIVE.
(special to "the press,") WELLINGTON, December 18. Some-thirteen or fourteen of the New Zealand Cadets attending the Australian Military College at Duntroon returned to New Zealand to-day for their Christmas holidays. There are fifteen New Zealanders at the College, and sixty-fivo Australians, ifeid" they arc. from all doing excellent Work. Of tho five failures announced in today's cablegram from Melbourne, two are New Zealanders hailing from Auckland. The Australian percentage of only three failures out of sixty-fivo Cadets is a high one. It is understood the failures wero mainly, in mathematics.
