The Servian charges that shots were fired from the Consulate aro untrue. M. Edl found that the Servians on several occasions had adopted ;;n incorrect attitude towards the Consulate, for which satisfaction is demanded.

The latter has acquired control of the foreign policy through tho military party, which is pressing for a renewal of tho war. The greatest ardour is shown in mobilising the now army, and 250.000 men will follow the standard..

CONSTANTINOPLE, December 17. Nearly all the members of tho Committee of Union and • Progress, who were recently arrested, have been released.
THE PEACE CONFERENCE.
A FURTHER ADJOURNMENT. LONDON, December 17. The Peace Conference has adjourned until Thursday to enable tho Turks to receive authorisation to sit with the Greek delegates. An informal meeting has been opened.
DISCUSSION ON ALBANIA.
THE ALLIES STA ( ND TOGETHER. (Received December 19th, 12.5 a.m.) LONDON, December 18. It is understood that tho Ambassadors discussed tho futuro status and area of Albania. The Turkish delegates asked the Bulgarian, Montenegrin, and Servian delegates to formulate their desiderata, pending receipt of the Porto's instructions to enable them to confer with Greece. , After considerable discussion, the Allies were unable to accept the proposal, inasmuch as tho Allies stand solidly together. Therefore the Conference adjourned to permit tho Turks to communicate with Constantinople.
