(PBESS ASSOCIATION TELEOBAMfI.) WELLINGTON, November 25. Rolf and Avison's grocery storo in Cuba street was considerably damaged by a firo which broke out in the storeroom this morning. Tho latter was destroyed, and the rest of tho 'premises Buffered from the heat and smoke. The insurances amounted to £1400. Burgess, a dentist, who was a tenant, had his stock, which was insured for £200, slightly damaged. The cause of the fire is attributed to rats. AUCKLAND, November 25. A six-roomed residence on the Arney road, Remuera, owned and occupied by Lionel Jacobsen, was destroyed by fire this morning. The house was insured for £475 in tho South British office, and the furniture for £100, in the London and Liverpool and Globo office, and £200 in the Ocean office.
