AN AMERICAN TEAM. (r___S3 ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, November 23. Mr Talbot, -ecretary to the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, haa been advjed by cab], that Mr bni-cke, a wellknown athletic writer of San Francisco, ia prepared to bring a team of athletes to New Zealand, including dlorine, Kmithson, __cClure, and Courtenay. They will compete at all the big centres, and probably in Wanganui, Timaru, and Masterton. Th- expenses will run into over £300. „.~? 6 annual rac. from New Brighton to Christchurch in connection with the St. John a Young Men's Guild, waa held on Thursday evening and resulted as follows:— T.
