Firo broke out in an unoccupied fiveroomed cottage in Ferry __inwood, on Saturday afternoon, and _ho Brigade managed to quell it after portion of the walls and the ceiling had been damaged. Tho cottage 13 owned by Mr Beaumont of Woolston. At an early hour yesterday morning tho Brigade received a call to 73 Coleridge street, Sydenham,' where a four-roomed unoccupied cottage, owned by Mrs Quin, was completely gutted. >

A fire occurred in Johnson's foundry early this morning, this being tho second outbreak there within three weeks. The principal office was gutted, and two other rooms damaged. The insurances are not available.
