4 At Victoria Lake on SaturSay afternoon, the Chriatchurch Model Yacht Club opened the season with a handicap race for a trophy presented by Mrs H. E. Stevens, vice-presi-dent of the club. In the unavoidable absence of Mrs Stevens, who was to have started the yachts, Mrs W. Garrard sent them off, with a good north-east breeze. There were ten entries, and the results were: —First heat—Mr Buchanan's Eileen, 1; Mr Philpott's Tilikum, 2; Mr Bond's Dorothy, 3.
