SPRINGTON.
Two men—Donald McKay and Harry Lo Comte—were thrown from a trap on Saturday- evening. The horse the former was driving shied at a traction engine, said to be travelling -without lights, with the result that both occupants of tho trap were . thrown out heavily. McKay had a rib broken, and suffered badly from shock, but ■Lβ Comte fared better, and escapea with a shaking. McKay was driven to Lincoln, where Dr.Oooke attended to his injuries.
A card match (euchre) was played in the Springston Hall on Wednesday laet between teams representing Ellesmero and Springston, and after a keenlygame, Springston won by four games.
