THE ROYALIST RISING

LISBON, July 14
The Government is deporting the Royalist conspirators to Timor or
Angola. . Military parties are scouring tho hills on the frontier, and have had cevcral encounters with conspirators, sixteen of whom were shot at various points. Fifteen priests were captured. Numerous searches of houses are being made, and the Archbishop of Evora has been arrested.^ A small Royalist rising at Bellas, twelve miles from Lisbon, was quelled, and a quantity of arms and ammunition seized.
