MISHAP TO A FERRY STEAMER.

AUCKLAND, July 15. During the heavy fog last night, the ferry steamer Peregrine, a new vessel, went on tho rocky bottom of .Stanley Bay. Sho soon floated off, but her stei-npost was shattered and the blades of ber propeller and shaft badly bent.
