The Liberal Association, at its conference, , rejected a motion that a referendum should bo taken at tho next general elections regarding the introduction of tho totalisator, and approved of a motion that- the Liberal Party should introduco legislation providing advances of money at low rates of interest on approved freehold security to tho people, enabling them to build their own homes in any part of tho State.
