CUST.

Last Saturday Mr W. j. Courtier, of tho fruit-growing section of tho Agricultural Department, met about thirty interested in fruit growing at Mr F. E. Fairwoather's, Cust. He gave some directions on pruning, and somo of those present tried their hands with the pruning scissors. Mr Courtier gave an address on spraying, and was "accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
