MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING

The Geraldine Torritorials' Miniature Rifle Club fired a match on Monday night lor trophies presented by Major Montgomery, the scores also counting for the medal competition. Following are the best ten targets:—Colour-Sergeant Brond 70, Private South 70, Sergeant Smith 69, Private Behrens 68, Captain Greshain 67, Private L. Bennington 66, Private J. Turner 66, Sergeant A. 65, Private A. O'Neil 65, Corporal H. Campbell 65. The Geraldino Civilians Miniature Rifle Club fired the second round for the god medal on Monday night. The shooting, was rather poor, the five T>est scores being r.s follow:— D. Bates 67,, H. Mackenzie 66, li. Macdonald G6, A. Maitlnnd £6. W. Henry 65. Tho V.M.C.A. Rifle Club fired a friendly match with the Christchurch Defence Rifle Club on the range of the former on Monday night, and succeeded in winning ■with a margin of 12, the scores being:—V.M.C.A. G5«, Defence Club 6»4. Tho best scores wero:—For fho Y.Ta.C.A., Baecand 70, Sutherland G9; nnd for the Defence' Club, Harffcan 69 and Glover 68. A match wna fired on Thursday night between th© Zealandia Club and r. team from the Veterans' Association, .resulting in a , win for the Zcalxndias by 1G points.
